BIO

Matt Minchew  has been penning songs and commanding stages for nearly two decades, having spent time living and performing in Nashville, NYC, Chicago, South Florida and, presently, Charlotte. His most recent release, "Long Way Home" (2018) featured his band, The Highbinders, and was recorded at Old House Studios in Charlotte, NC. He has three previous releases: Concord Anthems (2012), Something More (2010 - produced by John Ralston of Legends of Rodeo, Dashboard Confessional) & On The Verge of Something More (2003/out of print). Having performed over 3,000 shows,  Matt has amassed a catalog of nearly 1,000 cover songs. Heavily featured genres include 90s rock, country, classic rock, Top 40 and folk. While Matt spends much of his time in the classroom these days, he can still be found playing 20-30 dates annually in the Charlotte region.
